From his home in Chesapeake, Mario Blanco last week recalled how Brian Dinning once held a photo of Blanco's young daughter and shed what seemed to be real tears. In 2007, at age 8, Raven Maria Blanco died in a dentist's chair while undergoing a routine procedure. She was the inspiration behind Blanco's plan to build a church in South Africa and to help the children of the indigenous communities there.
